Snow Cone Socks - Knitting Pattern PDF
Snow Cone Socks - Knitting Pattern PDF
Digital knitting pattern (pdf download) - this product listing is for a pdf pattern you can use to knit your own finished item with. It does not include the physical item itself.
This is one of a set of very easy sock patterns part of the Vanilla Sundae Sock Set! These patterns are meant for times when you want a mostly mindless knitting project you can pick up and put down easily, but also want something a little more interesting than a plain vanilla sock - hence, the "Vanilla Sundae" name. All 6 patterns are also available together in an ebook for the best total price! The ebook also comes with a bonus vanilla sock making guide written for both cuff-down and toe up constructions, an expanded 12 sizes, guidance on how to adjust sizing for your own stitch and round gauge, as well as plenty of other tips so that you can create handknit socks you will actually wear! I hope you enjoy these sock patterns, and happy knitting!
These cozy socks for winter are worked in reverse stockinette stitch with fingering weight held double with mohair, and a twisted rib cuff decoration. Most of this sock is worked inside out so that you are knitting the reverse stockinette stitch. The cool blue color, fuzzy halo, and ribbed design at the top of the leg all reminded me of a melting snow cone. These socks will keep your feet warm on a cold winter’s night. Feel free to sub suri in place of mohair, or omit the mohair entirely and use any heavier weight yarn you get gauge with! Includes 3 child sizes and 4 adult sizes.
Please note this is to purchase the pattern to knit the socks, not the socks themselves. Due to the nature of digital downloads, I cannot offer refunds.
This pattern is also on Ravelry. Pattern has been tech edited and test knitted - thank you to my tech editor, Heather Storta, and my test knitters! Thank you to Bella @ www.bee-creates.com for the wonderful illustrations!

Construction
These socks are knit holding fingering weight yarn and mohair together. They are worked cuff-down, starting with an optional tubular cast on and 1x1 half twisted rib cuff. After the leg pattern is worked, the sock is turned inside out so that the reverse stockinette stitch can be worked by knitting instead of purling. The remainder of the leg, heel, and the foot is worked inside out, and then the sock is turned right-side out again to work the toe.
