Sprinkle Sweater - Knitting Pattern PDF
Sprinkle Sweater - Knitting Pattern PDF
Digital knitting pattern (pdf download) - this product listing is for a pdf pattern you can use to knit your own finished item with. It does not include the physical item itself.
This sweater design is based on one of my most popular sock patterns, the Sprinkle Socks. This pattern includes two views - View A (blue sample) places the contrast color section at the top, and View B (brown sample) places the contrast color at the bottom. Both versions have a seamless, top-down construction, with compound raglan shaping for a good fit. You can choose to make whichever view is your favorite, or make both!
Testers rated this pattern as best suited for an intermediate level knitter or an adventurous beginner. While the colorwork pattern itself is not difficult, working the colorwork at the same time as the raglan shaping means that some previous colorwork and/or sweater knitting experience would be helpful!
This pattern is also available on Ravelry.

Construction
This raglan sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down. It starts with a 1x1 ribbed folded collar (optional). The raglan increases begin while working German short rows to shape the neck. The raglans for the sleeves and body are shaped at different rates for a good fit throughout the upper body and shoulders. Once the yoke is finished, the sleeves are split and the body is finished. The sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeves are worked, ending with a rolled stockinette cuff.
